I've been creating my own resources for the Qiān Zì Wén (千字文) for a few months now. All of the available books presume that the reader is already entirely fluent in Chinese, and that is a shame; a foreign beginner (such as myself) really can benefit from working through it systematically. It isn't easy, but if it were easy it wouldn't be worth doing.
